meet My Family
Family is at the center of who I am and the reason I care so deeply about our community. My wife, Becky, and I have raised three children - Jesse, Nicole, and Cody — who have been the greatest joys of our lives.
Jesse and his wife Abby, have given us two wonderful grandchildren. Nicole is currently completing her master’s degree in social work. Cody, is engaged and beginning the next chapter of his life. I firmly believe that the solid foundation of SD roots is the reason they are the amazing people they are today.

Currently General Counsel at East River Electric Power Cooperative, advising leadership and the Board on regulatory, contract, and strategic matters.
Former Senior Assistant City Attorney for Sioux Falls, handling complex civil matters and policy implementation.
Deep roots in Madison, SD, with more than 25 years as a resident and extensive service on local boards, including Madison Regional Hospital and Trinity Lutheran Church.
